Yes - you can get the brake switch for about $35 on ebay, it right up under the brake pedal - you need to lay on your back with enough room to reach up and release the pin that holds the switch in place - also disconnect the wire that connects to the switch - fitting is reverse of removal - this issue also affects the remote start option - once I replaced this my remote start would work again...
