CD Player won't eject CDs

What is your question?

The CD player has some of my CDs in it, but it won't play or eject them. The dealership says the whole thing needs to be removed, which will cost between $600 and $900. I'm just not buying that story, so I would appreciate any insight into what my other (cheaper) options are.
