What is your question?
01suburban 1500 seems like it slipped out of gear in 3rd and 4th 1 and 2nd are strong as ever. Before I lost 3 and 4 completely . When driving it once it warmed up it would seem like it would just pop out of gear in 3rd once it got up to a certain rpm. I could let off the gas a little and it would catch and I could feather the peddle but after about a week it wouldn’t stay in 3 . But even now it will take off and drive like it always did but I have to put the shifter into 2 nd gear and it doesn’t seem to be affected the transmission has about 80,000 miles on it. It has 4 wheel drive and that shifts fine but I’m not sure I tried to drive it in 4 hi taking off in drive instead of 2. I thought the transmission was bad so I was going to replace it and bought a used 4l80 with 1000 miles on it but realized it’s a lot of extra work so I have not done anything yet. If it’s the solenoid sensors is that an easy fix and is there a test I can do to save me some time from changing them?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Before it lost 3 and 4 completely it would work some when cold and then come out of gear in 3 and 4.
