Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. First thing I would do is check your brake light switch. Is the brake light switch or the wiring related to that switch malfunctioning or melted? Beyond that, you will have to check for any added on devices or wiring that may be causing unknown issues.
