oil pressure light comes on, just charged oil pump & sending switch still comes

I had the same prob. Drop oil pump out and replace the o ring in the pickup tube. have mechanic screw oil pressure tester on in place of oil filter make sure its not the pump. Most likely will be o ring in the pickup tube.
