my engine has a nocking sound in it

Ouch. Sounds like a rough deal. Check your oil - is it clean and full? It's cheap insurance - change your engine oil and filter, just in case the filter is somehow restricting free oil flow. If nothing helps, you may be looking at internal damage that is cost prohibitive to repair. Have a technician local to you determine what kind of noise you are hearing first hand.
