What is your question?
Oil pressure starts off at 75-80 psi at idle then after 7-10 minutes it goes down to 59 or so, then when accelerating it quickly jumps back up to 75-80 psi then back down again The psi at idle after it’s all warmed up is 30psi Is this normal, I think I have a variable displacement oil pump I just changed the oil and filter but it didn’t change anything Thanks
How long has your 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?
Just bought the truck

Hello, are you using a manual pressure gauge to measure the oil pressure? I frankly feel that 75 to 80 pounds of pressure is a little high. But let's say it's normal. It's more than OK for it to be in the range that you're speaking of in this question. What is the problem that you're seeking to resolve? Don't borrow troubles, sounds like everything is working normally. Do you have symptoms of a problem that you can't explain?
I’m concerned that when get on the highway towing a travel trailer that the increased acceleration will spike the oil pressure and cause some damage. My information is coming from the analog gauge installed on the truck. The engine is a 5.3 V8 ecotec. I was hoping that someone would have knowledge of this issue to see if it’s common. Not borrowing anything but being proactive on a potential problem. This was just a weekend query before I can get to my mechanic. Thanks for the reply.
