Hello, check all wiring connections to ensure they are properly and securely connected. I cannot suggest what the "whine" noise after turning the light on was. Does it do it again if you test the battery again? Many times, a difficult to diagnose concern is that way because it's intermittently occurring. As a result, you may have to have a more frequent occurrence of your issue before you can even get to the bottom of it.
