What is your question?
2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Z71 Brake pedal is harder than it should be to press when needing to slow down. It will stop, but shouldn't have to require that much pressure. If there is a emergency situation, I won't be able to stop in time. Prior to this, the truck wouldn't stop at all when at slow speed, like backing into a parking space. no matter how much i pushed on the brake pedal. It would stop once it hit the curb. This has been resolved, but the brake pedal being harder than it should to press is still a problem. The brake pad and rotors were replaced in August of 2024. I replaced the following this year in attempt to fix the issue; Brake calibers, master cyclinder, power booster, lines were bled, AB module, Vaccum pump (inlcluding new belts), and break pedal posisiton sensor. There is also no check engine light
How long has your 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! You’ve replaced just about everything short of the steering wheel, and that brake pedal still feels like you’re stepping on a brick. Since you’ve already done the master cylinder, booster, vacuum pump, and even the ABS module, let’s talk about what might still be lurking in the shadows. First, double-check the vacuum supply to the brake booster. Even with a new pump and belt, if the vacuum line has a leak, restriction, or check valve failure, the booster won’t get enough assist. A quick test: with the engine off, pump the brake pedal a few times to firm it up, then start the engine. The pedal should drop slightly if the booster is working properly. If it doesn’t, vacuum is still your issue. Also, make sure the booster pushrod is properly adjusted. If it’s too long or short, it can cause a hard pedal and reduced braking force. If everything checks out and it’s still not right, it might be time to bring in a shop with a high-end scan tool to look at live brake data—especially from the brake pressure sensor and ABS system.
