What is your question?
My check engine light was on and it showed spark plug wire #4. I changed that and the spark plug. They cleared the code and it is still showing the same thing. Is there something else I need to do???
What makes this problem better or worse?
The same either way.
How long has your 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?

Hello, which engine is your 1500 equipped with? No code will ever show "spark plug wire" as a cause of failure. It will show a misfire code, perhaps a P0304 code showing cylinder 4 misfire, but there are multiple possible causes for a misfiring cylinder. Yes, a failed spark plug or ignition wire could be the source of failure, but also fuel injector or even a concern within the valve train in the cylinder head or the cylinder itself in the engine could be a concern. What testing has been performed? An easy "backyard mechanic" check is to swap ignition wires from cylinder 4 to cylinder 3, and spark plug from cylinder 4 to cylinder 2 -- and seeing if the misfire stays with 4, goes to 3 or goes to 2. Then you can see what component is leading to concerns -- if it's related to plugs and wires. How many miles are on your Chevy Truck?
My truck has 5.3lt engine. I did move the wires and it still showed #4 spark plug wire. My truck has 209,000 miles.
