What is your question?
Jumped into cab turned on key... lights, radio etc came on, I heard the fuel [ump hum at start, no crank... no sound at all , no solenoid clicking. Nothing. Battery is < 3 months old, but just to rule it out I jumped my Suburban to it same outcome. No crank, no solenoid clicking. Checked the relay (swapped out with a new one), checked the fuse.. Same result. Took off the starter and took it into Autozone to test it. Worked fine in their test jig. I've had problems with the Ignition cylinder getting sticky so I decided to change the ignition cylinder and switch. After that new problem. After installing cylinder and switch I went to reconnect the negative terminal on the battery and the starter came on! I had played with making sure I got the switch in the correct position during installation and had found a straight forward video on how to do that so I am confidant it is in the correct position. Thoughts? maybe I inserted the starter relay in the reverse positin? would that
What makes this problem better or worse?
Just doesn't crank
