Over a year, but never let it over heat have a temp gauge.

Hello, if coolant is disappearing, it's a good idea to perform a pressure test of your cooling system. If there is an external leak, you'll see it, even if small. It would be unlikely to have the coolant leak internally in the engine, but anything is possible. Test and go from there. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
