How to chose correct ball joints and tie rods

I have a friend that has a 2005 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4door, 4 WD with the 5.3 v8 ohv 16v, VIN # 2GCEK13T851148775. The upper Ball Joints are bad on the truck. He wants to get a kit with both lower and upper ball joints for both sides and also he wants the inner and outer tie rods replaced at the same time as the truck has nearly 400,000 miles on the body. Tried to order parts on Ebay, from a few different sellers, they asked for the VIN number to get correct parts. After sending vin number, they then came back indicating they now need the OEM part numbers from the truck so they can get correct parts. It has been headache to order parts for a vehicle, I attempted find Part numbers on balljoints, tie rod parts, no numbers On any of the parts that are on the truck?? Can you help in this matter to get the correct parts ordered? The VIN # search brings up the correct info for the truck on the decoder. We appreciate your help!
