How do you know when to bleed brakes?

Recently had the hub assembly replaced and I have to push the pedal all the way to the floor almost to get the truck to stop. Why is this? They did not use to be that way?

could be a few things, if your pressing your brakes all the way down then you might have a leak, so before you bleed your brakes i would look for a leak
