Between master cylinder and brake booster

What is your question?

On the master cylinder that goes into the booster has a groove it looks like a o ring fits there. But when I look up to find a part it doesn’t show me one. But in diagram’s it shows one.

How long has your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?
