What is your question?
I tried to start my truck and I let the key go too soon.It kinda sputtered as it has before.I turn the key and it won't start. The sound keeps changing like thetiming keeps changing.

A timing chain issue is a possibility on your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 but not likely. You could start by looking for moisture in the distributor cap, if that looks ok then check timing chain slack while you have the cap off.
I'm betting my life that its the crankshaft sensor make sure to by a good quality part.Theres a TSB about that issue sensor is giving ECM a 50 degree advance timing reading.
You are the MAN.I just changed the distributor cap and rotor. It seams to be surging but getting better.I drove in the rain last night and I think parts got wet as well.Thank so very much.I get to go duck hunting in the morning.I owe you one.
