i checked the IPC/DIC fuse and a few others all are fine however i dont have a way to test one of the relays to see if it is bad. the dash lights come on but none of the gauges work and it wont tell me what gear im in. im sure its just an electrical problem but didnt know if another fuse tise into the IPC/DIC fuse or not. anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

This is very common on the 03-06 Silverados. The cause is the motors behind the gauges are failing, they all go out eventually. You can get it repaired here - www.drspeedometer.com and there's a DIY guide here - www.howtorepairmyinstrumentcluster.com
Chevy had a whole serious problem with the soldering on those particular panels. Check with the selling dealer to see if you are eligible for the 'silent/goodwill recall'. Tell them Guido sent ya!
I have a 04 silverado that did the same thing, but there was a recall and they replace the whole panel has to be within the recall paramenter Less than 5 years old or 80,000 miles. good luck
I have a 04 Serria SLE with 135,000+ miles, went back to dealer was told if it had less than 80,000 it could of been repaired. Isn’t if funny that when Toyota had problems: a frame on the 80 pickups, problems with braking, etc. Who put pressure on Toyota to recall and fix the problem no matter the year or miles? Shouldn’t GMC correct Known problems, premature wearing of the steering shaft, faulty brake controller, incorrect calibration of the speedometer.
