What is your question?
Dealership says both knock sensors are bad, plus a harness (about six inches). They are charging $1,100.00. Is that a good cost? I have Zero knocking, that I can hear, but my "check engine" light is on. I will not be able to pass an inspection in two months with the check engine light on. So, I have to replace the sensors. Truck runs fine with no issues.
How long has your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?
Six weeks.

Hello, the knock sensor won't cause knocking. It's job is to determine the best possible ignition timing. A failure of the sensor and related wiring is something that can affect proper operation -- but doesn't necessarily cause a running concern when faulty. However, I'd suggest a second opinion - perhaps try a shop near you for guidance? And a competitive quote? Also, you can check the estimator tool - www.repairpal.com/estimator and see if the parts are listed there. With the wiring, getting an accurate pricing quote may be difficult.
