Why is truck stalling while coming to stop or slowing?

What may be causing my truck to stall when in gear and coming to a slow or stop. I replaced battery and alternator over weekend. I do not believe it is fuel pump, as there does not seem to be bucking or loss of power. Is it a so-called throttle posion sensor? whatever that is and where is it.
