What is your question?
I can turn on my truck and it’ll turn on fine, but when i got to turn the switch off, the truck stays on even when i “turn it off” and pull the key out, the truck remains on, i had to unplug all the spark plugs to be able to turn the truck off. What is causing this?
What makes this problem better or worse?
I have to unplug the spark plugs so it turns off
How long has your 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?
A few weeks

Hello, sounds like a ignition key cylinder or ignition switch concern in the steering column. Testing is needed - have a look at the wiring at the electrical switch itself, is it damaged or melted in any way? Also, these vehicles may have had an ignition cylinder and key concern -- there were some recalls back about 13 years ago. Have a look to see if your vehicle has had its remedy.
