I am having a problem with my air-conditioning - heating unit in my 2003 pick up

My air condition and heater unit in my 2003 Silverado 1500 LS seems to be locked in one position.
The air condition unit will not turn on, and the heater blows all the time. It has dual controls, and blows hot air on the drivers side, and cool air, from outside, on the passenger side. The fan selector speed switch works, but the routing selector blows only on the defrost, and under console position.
Do I have a fuse blown or what?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing. It is hung up
