What is your question?
We just had the transmission replaced after the truck sat up for almost 2 years. Tranny is fine, but this morning while on the Interstate doing 70 mph, the truck suddenly died, losing all electrical power. I tried to restart it but could get no action at all while turning the key. Finally, the dash lights came on, but I don't hear the fuel pump humming. Tried to check all fuses. Not sure what else to check without paying major bucks to the dealership. Any ideas?

You sound like a DIY, is there a warranty on this trans work?, Have there ever been any electrical issues prior? How many miles? What dash lights came on, check engine light or just the regular lights? Was the vehicle sitting up in a garage or open area? Did you actually get a chance to check all fuses, If vehicle dies out and restarts, that is a problem, possible fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel did you use 2 year old fuel or did you drain the tank? check for broken or disconnected electrical wires. It seems that it took a while to restart? How are the battery cables, wires, and terminals looking. If vehicle was stored outdoors animals may chew on exposed wires? You may have a wire that is touching where it does not need to touch. If you are a DIY just take your time and do major visuals, and safely check connectors and wires. Don't forget to check for recalls and technical service notices. you may also need to have someone to check underneath this vehicle, I had previously heard about a vehicle with wires that were damaged due to the wires being to close to the exhaust system,
Wow, you are FAST! And I thank you for that, very much. The truck has 268000 miles on it. We parked it in the yard when the transmission went out almost 2 years ago. We had a local mechanic install a used transmission, which works really well. There has been some past issues with turning left, the truck dies, but will restart. Now, after it lost all power this morning, the dash shows pretty much everything BUT the check engine light. It has fresh fuel in the tank.
you have had what type of problems with left turns? is the vehicle dying out every time you turn left? When a vehicle dies out it can be electrical or fuel, or some other issue that is not being noticed, such as loose wires and connections. Visual inspections and electrical testing of the system is needed, the dying out can be dangerous. So the vehicle just goes dead, and restarts instantly? or not Visual and under carriage inspection is needed
I've had something similar happen 03 silveraldo 2wd.... driving along heard chimes from the dash and the whole dash was flashing lights but so fast you could not even read em, then a few miles down the road out of no where it died and would not start. I smelled something burning so i got my 3 kids and wife out and up into some one's yard, did not see fire or smoke but smelled burnt. Tow truck took to shop they said it was a wiring issue and sent me to a wiring shop so had it towed to shop 2. where it sat for 4 months they guy never had time to look at it, mean time im still paying truck payments and ins. now at this shop the gas line rotted out so had to tow back to shop 1 where they fixed the gas line and have had it now for a month and still cant figure it out..... it died on May 26, 2015 and as i post this on 9/22/15 It is still down.... Now let me say this it wouldent start on the road but it did start later on but now it wont start at all.... and for those who know about the dash when i bought it a few years back the dash did not work stepper motor issue anyways everything else worked on it till now.
