What is your question?
I have a 2002 chevy silverado, at one point the dash lights came off and at random they would turn back on, but now they have just completed turned off. The lights for my AC and 4wheel drive are off too.
How long has your 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?
It's was randomly turning on then staying off for about 3 months before it just completely stopped

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Hey there! It sounds like you're having a bit of a mystery with your Silverado's dash lights. When things start acting up randomly and then stop altogether, it can be frustrating. Dash lights, AC, and 4-wheel drive indicator lights are often on the same circuit, so if there's a problem with the fuse, it could affect all of them at once. I'd recommend checking your fuse boxes to see if any of the fuses related to these systems are blown. Sometimes they can look fine but still be faulty, so it's worth testing them with a multimeter or swapping them out with new fuses (I don't recommend swapping fuses from other circuits, to avoid creating other issues) to see if that solves the problem. If the fuses seem fine, it could be a wiring issue, relay, or junction connector, or the dimmer switch that controls the brightness of your dash lights causing the issue. If you're unable to locate the problem, a diagnosis by a competent professional will get things sorted, they'll have the tools, wiring schematics, and expertise to investigate the problem and get your lights working again. Hang in there, and hopefully, it's just a simple fix! Let me know if you need any more help, or if you'd like to help with finding a RepairPal Certified shop in your area, give us a call! 877-913-1554
