My transmission jerks/slips from 1st to 2nd but go's away after driving for 30min

In morning truck has trouble shifting to 2nd the first time and after that it well jerk or sometimes slip when driving only 1st and 2nd do this and 2nd to 3rd hesitates a little in shifting but all others are fine and down shifting is fine all of them and if you drive on freeway for 20/30 min once you get off you well notice its not jerking from 1st to 2nd anymore and actually it always shifts very well after driving for a bit but if truck is not moving for 10-20 min once you do start moving its jerking from 1st to 2nd again transmission fluid is full when I got the truck the guy had transmission leak and most leaked out from sitting in front yard and he couldn't get it to move even with lot of gas had to add 3 or 4 quarts before it was catching and even then he drove it and was having smoke come out from under truck went and put in almost 2 more quarts before it was driving normal again but I fixed leak but in new transmission filters and was running amazing past 11 months. Any ideas?
What makes this problem better or worse?
When the engine is cold its the worse but once driven problem gos away

Hello, it's quite likely that internal transmission damage occurred before you even bought it. Damage can occur and then as wear continues, failure occurs. Can't really tell for sure without performing electronic transmission testing hands on.

Thanks I was afraid of that still for price I paid cant be surprised still good deal so you think damage inside transmission bit what about fact that it always gos away and drives smoothly after 20-30min of driving but it always comes back if still for bit cant be the filter in pan are clogged or dirty even tho they were just replaced how much is it to get it looked at any ideas I just took it to shop and im not happy told them what was going on and told them to figure out issue and that I get code for knock sensor so told them to do new ones also so they did knock sensor and called me told me it's done and that it drive good they couldn't get it to jerk or slip at all they said but the sec I drive away it jerks told me they check fluid and was fine even tho I told them it was to yell the truth I dont think they did test drive cuz if they did its impossible that they didn't feel it jerk
