gear selector light shuts off when brake pedal is pressed

What is your question?

My gear selector light on my instrument panel will shut off or dim really bad faint when the brake pedal is applied. After releasing the peddle it will either stay dim or stay off or come right back on bright as it should be.

1st, check all fuses,replace any blown. Make sure your Brake Lamps are working. Those truck are famous for the Instrument Cluster failing as well.
