Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I'm so sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. Good for you for taking on a transmission rebuild on your Silverado! While there could be a mechanical issue with the valve body or something else inside the transmission, I would suspect an issue with the vehicle speed sensor or its circuit to be the culprit, given the combination of symptoms. I would start with a visual inspection of the sensor and wiring. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
