What is your question?
Besides being low on oil and a faulty gauge, why would the gauge read low oil pressure? Thoughts?
How long has your 2000 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?
it's been like this a week; running out of options

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If your Silverado's oil pressure gauge is reading low and you've ruled out low oil and a bad gauge, the issue could be with the oil pump or oil pressure sending unit. The oil pump might be worn out or clogged, which would prevent it from maintaining proper pressure. Another possibility is that the oil pressure sending unit is failing, even if the gauge itself is working. A partially clogged oil filter or worn engine bearings could also cause low oil pressure, as they affect oil flow. Given that it's been a week, I'd suggest getting it checked out quickly to avoid any serious engine damage.
