All lights on the transfer case selelctor switch are on truck does not want to run it jerks really bad can anyone help me out with this

What is your question?

When you turn the key on to start the truck you will hear it couple clicks if I do that then it's fine it's just in two-wheel drive otherwise sometimes you turn the key and you will hear no clicking and all the lights are on

What makes this problem better or worse?

If I unhook the negative on the battery about 50% of the time they go out and it runs fine

How long has your 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 had this problem?

It's been doing it for a couple months
