I can't get my 4x4 transfer case to engage at all , several people attempted to fix it with no good results. Apparently no power to transfer case motor , switched out for new parts several times and nothing worked. I had that gut feeling not to buy it and guess what I did? I was building the truck for a toy hauler , geared it, air lift bags , trailer brakes and now this crap UGH Scott
What makes this problem better or worse?

If you take a vehicle to get inspected and diagnosed, there's typically a willingness to stand behind the work. This is why I'd recommend a shop near you on this list: www.repairpal.com/repair-shops It's too hard to know what possible causes could be for your concern, as I don't know what has been done and what testing has been performed. Seek guidance from a local shop and tech near you.
