My 4x4 switch green/orange light doesn't work. How to fix?

It could be your encoder motor has gone bad or just the switch itself is bad. I had to take my 94 Blazer to the Chevy dealership shop and it cost about $400 to track the problem down, the part and putting the part on. The switch can be replaced but it is a pain. Unless you like working on vehicles, I suggest you buy the switch yourself (you should be able to find it at any auto parts place) and have someone put it on for you. It may be a little pricey but at least you won't have to worry about banging and scarping your knuckles and fingers on tight spots. I would rather pay someone to do the work if I am not sure what I am doing.
