Clicking noise behind dash when press shifter button to go into reverse. 06 Monte Carlo

It has just started as of today, already know how if RPM's arent in sinc will cause rough shift into reverse. This is new.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Pretty sure weather isn't issue

How long has your 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo had this problem?

Just started today, no problems in past.
