whei i turn the sterring wheel, it makes a a squiling noise in the sterring wheel, a friend saids all mc does that because they get dust in the cracks where the steering wheel is

I would inspect the belt that goes around the power steering pulley for dryness, cracks, glaze and looseness. Also look to see if has proper tension at tensioner assembly, is spring loaded and could have lost spring tension. While turning left and right watch the tensioner and see if it jumps and watch belt to see if chatters or skips or seems to almost stop moving. A growling noise would indicate low p/s fluid or pump noise. Lots to look at before you just say "all m/c's do that". If is the original belt I am leaning toward it needs replaced.
