Based on the conditions that you are describing, there is one more thing that you need to check on. You need to check to see if there is coolant in the radiator. If you find that there is no coolant in the radiator, and the vehicle is not presenting any other signs besides what you described, that more than likely means it has a faulty intake manifold gasket. I would also recommend not to drive the car in this condition (even though the car will drive) to avoid any damage to the engine bearings.
