I can't start my monte Carlo without unplugging the positives battery cord and reattaching it and have to hear click before starting it and sometimes I hear click under the car but it won't turn it on and the dash lights will come on some times and sometime the lights won't come on and sometimes this work and sometimes it don't
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, Test the battery terminals and battery cables, and make sure the positive cable to the battery is intact (not melted onto anything). Be sure that there is a good connection between the battery and fuse box under the hood as well. The click you hear under the car should be the starter solenoid, but, based on your description, I'm guessing there is sometimes insufficient power to turn the starter motor/engine. You could have someone turn the key to 'start' and hold it there while wiggling the positive battery cable (make sure it is clean and tight first). If you notice the starter working, you know that the issue is attached to that battery cable.
