Mine the cam had a piece flake off 3.8 L. Got caught in oil pump behind harmonic balancer behind cover. Cheap way other than overhaul is to put a big wrench on harmonic balancer and give a big pull. Or take off harmonic balancer and water pump and cover. Remove oil pump around crank. Probably will need new cover
