how to open gas lid door

If the cable is broke right at the handle maybe you can grip the cable end with a pliers and pull. If you can't you may want to see if you can access it from under the vehicle but I doubt you can. You may need to remove some interior trim panels to get at the actual lock mechanism at the fuel door.
