The best price I found for my '92 was here: http://www.partstrain.com/store/?PN=7606&N=0&VN=+4294966993+4294965994+4294967234+4294967247+4294966340&Nr=AND(year:1992,make:Chevrolet,model:Lumina%20APV,submodel:Base,engine:6%20Cyl%203.8L,universal:0) It was only $37 & works great. I didn't rekey it to the rest of the doors, so I have another key on my ring. Maybe someday I'll get it rekeyed to match but I doubt it. Hint: Once I got the trim panel off the door, I brought the door down to a nearly closed position so I wasn't working overhead.
New lock cylinders may or may not be available from the aftermarket for your 1991 Chevrolet Lumina. You will need to check with your local parts suppliers to find out. No mater where you get your new trunk lock cylinder you will need to have the lock "coded" to your key. Some GM dealers may do this or you may need to see your local locksmith. With the new lock cylinder codded you will need to remove your old trunk lock and install the new one.
I think what I did was pull the key mechanism out of the old lock and put it into the new. Can't recall. You may find that it is more than just the handle. After a couple of repairs I'm now happy with a) not having the auto-unlock working on this and b) having to have the key left IN the lock to open it. Cant recall how I ended up with "b". I may have been sent the wrong lock I don't recall. Try Rockauto, they have em.
Let me just say, I have tried to replace the entire lock mechanism in the rear of my APV and the one's that do not have the separate glass side, they do not have these in aftermarket. Dealers can sometimes but rarely get a OEM replacement for these as the parts are no longer stocked. Your best bet, junk yard.
