Yes, the pump module is in the tank and there is no access panel to get to pump other than dropping the fuel tank

it is underneath the truck about under the drivers seat. It is not in the tank. we dropped the tank to only have to put it back on.

Yes it is inside the fuel tank to replace the pump you must drop the tank. The fuel filter is under the drivers side near the door advice getting flared wrenchs to replace the filter.
