What is your question?
I changed the needle motor behind the dash and it seems that now when I put it to empty, it goes to full, but does not go pass full we did change the fuel pump maybe two years ago but I might have bought a cheap version. I’m not sure. If there’s anyway y’all can send me pictures or locations it’s for a 1995 GMC sierra K 1500 4 x 4 5.7 L.

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your K1500. It sounds like there could be a mismatch between your fuel gauge reading and the actual fuel level in the tank. This often happens if there's an issue with the sending unit (inside the fuel tank) or if the wiring has a poor connection. Since the gauge moves but isn't reading accurately, you might want to check the ground connections and wiring to ensure they're intact and corrosion-free. The sending unit on these models is part of the fuel pump assembly, so if the replacement pump was low-quality or misaligned, it might contribute to the inaccurate readings. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
