Keyfob remote start pops trunk instead of starting vehicle. Whis cause of issue?

Hello, sounds like there's either a key fob concern - are the proper for the vehicle? Or perhaps the vehicle is not equipped with remote starting capabilities from the factory? Is it an add on remote starter? The only notes I can see mentions interference from non-factory components disrupting radio frequency - Not so sure about this but it's at least a thought.
