Transmission fluid/ motor oil

What is your question?

I was told that because of the year of my vehicle, it's not a good idea to change my transmission filter or fluid. Is that true? Would my ses light turn on if either my fluid or oil were low?

SES light probably will not come on for the fluids needing to be replaced. I would not recommend replacing the transmission fluid, if you do not know the history of the transmission. If it's running smooth, do not change it.

So just add if I lose some. Do you know where the location of my shifter solenoid?
