What is your question?
can a bad ignition control module in chevy vortec 8 cyl 2007 express 3500 cause occasional p0300 random misfire codes that occur 1x during a hi speed highway trip, then go away for another 100 miles. ? p 0300 code shows only going up a hill at speeds 65-70 with closed loop/ hot engine / after 1/2 hr of driving. NO drivability issues, no stalling hot cold or on startup. I stop driving I turn off the p0300 code w my Autel then start engine again. it's still running hot 2 min later -- the p0300 check engine lite is gone. p0300 sometimes doesn't reappear again for 100-200 miles . 4 different mechanics (including chevy dealer) in 2 years: $2800. replace & relearn CKP (4x), CPS (1x) , tuneup, new coil packs & ; wires, new MAF, new engine wire harness. " fuel pressures fine. no coolant losses. " all mechanics say just keep driving it. .
