I doubt if there is any recall but I would call Chevrolet North America Customer Service and complain.

It never hurts to consult your local dealership, however, to ask for assistance above and beyond the factory warranty period. All they can say is "sorry, no", but in some odd cases, you may get a little help. This is especially true if you have maintained a good relationship with the service department at that dealership.
