Van doesn't move when shifted into drive or reverse.rearend makes creaking sound

With a rear end creak rather than metallic ratcheting, I suspect that the park braking is stuck on. From underneath, locate the 2 cables and rotate and bend them slightly along their length right up to the rear backing plates. That should free them up enough to move.
