2006 chevy express van Security light solid Did the relearn and wait 10 plus minutes and it wont turn off. Replaced the steering housing cylinder. Replaced the key housing Took my computer to tuners and they turned off the Vats. I have tried every bypass. Now everything is back to stock. With a new steering housing cylinder and key housing w/key. I don't know what else to try to get my vans security light to flash or turn off for me to do the relearn properly.
How long has your 2006 Chevrolet Express 1500 had this problem?

Hi this is Dusty, I'm one of the auto experts on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Sounds like you've been through the wringer trying to get it sorted. Replacing parts, doing the relearn dance, even taking a trip to the tuners – you're leaving no stone unturned! Here's the thing: sometimes those security systems can be a real headache, especially when they decide to throw a tantrum for seemingly no reason. My advice when these things pop up is to take it back to basics, make sure your battery is good (12.5-12.7v or more), check for any faults stored, if there's nothing there then check the fuses and relays and look for proper power and ground. It could be an issue with the body control module, its power supplies, or a data issue between modules. Worst comes to worst, you may need a 2nd opinion from an experienced professional technician. They'll have access to all the fancy diagnostic tools and insider knowledge needed to figure out why that pesky light just won't quit.
