Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. This is tough to address. Manufacturer recalls or extended warranty coverage comes from -- unknown sources. You cannot really anticipate what will happen now - or into the future. The best you can do is hang on to receipts, and if a program is announced - you'll get a refund. Reach out to a shop near you for guidance.
