Engine shuts off w/o reason. Will restart, but will randomly shuts off?

Connorjoel did you find out the cause of the sudden shut off? My 2013 Captiva has begun to do the same thing and dealer has no clue as to what the cause is.

2013 Chevy Captiva LTZ with 50,000 miles just today the engine shut off after starting the car and backing out. So, put back in park started again, after about 2 seconds and a puff puff like the car had no gas, it shut off again. Car has 1/2 tank of gas, but I noticed the coolant temp was reading 204*. Car engine starts fine, but then dies out. Please advise if anyone has any answers
