Just wanted to make sure. Don't have any quick answers, but if you have the 5.7L the style injector they use has a tendency to get stuck. If after diagnosing the vehicle stuck injector is the case I recommend replacing all 8 injectors. If you have the 8.1L they use a more traditional style injector and don't have the sticking issues like the 5.7L.
Air in the lines shouldn't be an issue. That fuel system runs at minimum 55 PSI and any air bubbles will be cleared out quickly. No real quick answers, but the fact that you ran dry, my guess would be damaged pump or some dirt was sucked up from the bottom of the tank and now is messing with the injectors.
ok well the truck will run and idle smooth But studers and hardly moves. My cousin filld the tank and put in full injecto cleaner in and now it hardly makes it to 5 mph Hellp I need my truck!
You probably have a bad fuel pump. If you can get your hands on fuel pressure gauge set for fuel injection, you can check pressure. Should be around 55 psi at idle. Your scenario of running out of gas and vehicle not running right afterwards is pretty typical. The fuel pump is submerged in the gas and that helps to keep it cool. Running the fuel tank low and hurt the pump by causing it to run hot or suck up dirt from the bottom of the tank. Sorry can't be more help.
Hi guy how is your day?? I put in a new full pump and it starts right up idles smooth till i give it gas then it sputters till it warms up and it runs fine but it sputter puling away from the stop sign then smoths out and runs fine till the next stop sign. any idas??
The longer it runs the smother it is runing. Will air in the line cause this?
Is this a gas powered truck or do you have a Duramax?
