where do i find a diagram that shows how to replace the heater core in this vehicle? do you have to remove the dash or can it be done from under the truck/outside?

There's no diagram. You'll have to probably remove the steerinjg wheel in order to unfasten the dash and move it back some. You'll have to remove the blower motor and some other parts that are in the way. Then you can get to the heater core. What you have to do should be obvious once you're into it.
