ENGINE KNOCKING

1984 Chevrolet custom classic C20 5.7 L. Engine started smoking under hood. Checked under hood and noticed slight oil leak on valve cover gasket and water leak in radiator. About mile from home engine started knocking and died. Has plenty of oil. Not milky. Temp guage showed ok. Radiator wasnt hot.
